Kyshel, you need to sign up for Twitter. The winner's name was already listed and it wasn't you or me.

Re: Contest Results
I have no interest in Twitting
The LL website has a link that shows past contest results and I was wondering why it has never been posted."wherever you go, there you are"

kyshel & mountieI do twitter (it is a pain in the butt at times) and here was the information on twitter yesterday by LuxuryLink:
Congrats to K. Barish from Lilburn, GA - the winner of our recent Win A Trip Contest! You get 5 unforgettable nights in the Caribbean!- Ω -

Re: Contest Results
I wonder why it's taken so long to post [on twitter] when it's not even on the contest results page? I would have thought it was more important to show it there--legal, after the fact, etc....

What, I wonder, is the use of Twittering going to be in the future for LL? Kyshel is not the only one to have not jumped on the Twitter bandwagon.
If so, they are going to loose a lot of interest & participation, as the only tweets around here, are by the birds at the feeder. Is this going to be where the results of past auctions are to be found?
It would seem, LL has worked hard to build up a loyal community of users, and are squandering this with the latest unexplained, not even announced, decisions. Maybe they just hope people will accept changes and the new ones won't know the difference. But they are also appealing to a demographic that for the most part is too intelligent to easily be fooled and appreciates straightforward treatment.
Congratulations to the folks in GA for winning the sweeps!

shininglight & kyshel.....what about it....have either of you added Luxury Link to your Facebook page?
I supposed not!
I refuse to have a Facebook page....no interest in having my grade school "fellow delinquents" know where I am or what I am doing.
On the other hand, Twitter has surprisingly been good for business.
My guess is Luxury Link continues to test the water and sample all sorts of social networking opportunities.- Ω -

From this quarter you suppose correctly, omegaet!o Facebook pages in this household!
But we do use the public Facebook pages of businesses and to watch the public posts of our CongressCritter. It's the one place that he posts himself and one can communicate directly with him, rather than going through layers of staff.
I do see your point about reaching out to new audiences. However LL needs to keep a home base, so to speak, where people can count on reliable information.

Hi,
I am with you. Twitter is not my style, even fFacebook is still foreign to me. I hope LL will keep it's site free of either facebook or twitter. As you said, LL might loose some faithful members if they change too quickly.

LL_Travelfan....f.y.i
LL has been involved with both Twitter and Facebook for some time and I don't think either affiliation has been a negative to the parent site or to our relationships with Luxury Link. Even though we have no real interest in solical networking through Facebook, many, many people do....it is nothing more than a way for LL to potentially attract and penetrate new markets with their products.
The Twitter posting have actually alerted us to interesting offerings from time to time....which might not have even noticed, had we waited to surf the site later (and NO...I don't have the application loaded on my cellular....as is the case with several of the LL staff members).
Just my opinion.....I see no "lose in faithful members," rather a potential "gain in new members."- Ω -
