a couple of newbie questions

hey guys, first time LL user here.

anyone know if we are able to use the first-time user promos on auctions?

also, once an auction is over, is the buy now package typically still available or does it disappear at the end of auctions?

Welcome to the LL community!

I am guessing that the promo code you are talking about is the one you received for joining LL? You should be able to use it on your first acution if you like. Just enter the code in the box on the auction page.

It is not unusual for the "buy now" to be available on a property, even if the auction is over. No guarantee that a property will stay up for an extended period of time. If you are wanting to get one package on an auction, then purchase the second one to extend your trip or to take additional people with you, I would make the purchase as soon as you win the auction. Don't hesitate to call LL customer service and ask them this question on a property you are interested in (just remember that their office is not open over the weekend).

Where are you thinking of going? Do you have a property in mind? Others in the community might be able to provide additional insight / information on the place.

note that mystery auctions don't allow use of a promo code (there is no place to enter it when you bid)

Thanks for the info. I actually just won an auction on Koa Kea in Hawaii. My dates are pretty rigid, but I had called the hotel earlier about availability and it sounded like there was plenty. I was able to use my offer code, and if anyone is wondering, the buy it now is still available. Hoping for a good outcome on my dates! I know they are closed over the weekend, so I guess I should expect to hear about the final dates tomorrow?

already received a confirmation email for the dates I needed. seems the system may be automated on the weekends? either way, looking forward to a great stay!
