or did i miss that change? not that I dont understand a 24 hour clock, but when you live on the other side of the dateline, it was a nice feature to know how long it was until the auction closed. just curious....

That's weird. Nothing seems to have changed on my end...
Hi,
I can't find the time feature either on my computer. Mathewlawrence26 where do you see it on your set. It used to be right below the space you entered the bid, now there is nothing there.
Hi L
I don't know about you, but changes like this really drive me crazy. After reading your post I also checked. I thought that maybe if someone would be bidding on an auction the time would show up. Went to visit a few auction pages, and could not even find any with bids, till I landed on the 1$ auction (always someone bidding on those), still nothing. Although, when you check the bidding history, there you will find the clock ticking. You are right I believe we lost that feature on the auction pages & I think that it is a mistake to remove this feature from were it was. Hopefully they will put it back, because we all seem to be missing it.

obrienkf....at first I was puzzled a bit by your question. Then I did some investigating of the different available auctions. Actually, I have been actively participating in several auctions over the past couple of weeks and was certainly seeing dates and digital clocks on those properties. Now I think I have it figured out.
If there has been at least one bid registeredon an auction item, you can click on bid history and be shown Bidder: # Total Bids: # and Time Left: Days, Hours, Minutes & Seconds in a descending digital clock count down. On the other hand,if there has been no active bids registered, you are only shown the date and time the Auction Ends, but no descending digital clock count down.
Hi O,
You might be right that LL has shifted the time function under the "bid" function, but it certainly is not as straight forward as the old time function was, where you could refresh the time with just a click. Furthermore, since LL does not tell us about all the changes they make on the site, it is sort of a hunt to figure out what has changed and how it has changes. Thanks for clearing up the mystery.
it shouldn't matter if an auction has zero or at least 1 bid... the auction end time should always be listed. currently we have 2 versions of the auction page: one displays the end date and time, the other displays a countdown. sometime next week, there will only be 1 version and it will display a countdown.
do you have a preference? we believe the countdown is more convenient for our members but please correct me if i'm wrong.

Michael,
i would rather that there be a count-down, as i am no where near US Pacific time, and trying to figure that out, when i am in some other timezone is just one extra thing to do.... thanks for asking....
