Exchange Rates

Hello LL Community,

Now that we've learned that many countries are represented in the LL community ...Does anyone like the idea of LL providing a site that shows exchange rates on a daily , weekly or monthly update? I think this may be extremely helpful.

I think that would be helful to all users, and probably a pretty easy thing to accomplish, either through a link or some type of currency converter which would hopefully be located right under the "keyword search".

Could be a useful feature if added to the LL Community as a link. There are any number of 'currency converter'websites out there that do a super job. I've had one of these on my list of "favorites" at the top of my browser site and just click on it whenever I need to know what some other currency's worth.

what about clicking on the portfolio, then click "travel resources" and then it comes up with "universal currency converter"? Would that not be enough or does this not keep updated.I suppose it would be best if it was giving the exchange rates which were updated on a daily basis so that we would have the most up to date rates. Good call on the currency converter. You know what I find amazing is that all the ideas we've been coming up with on the LL Community, often are already implemented ! Maybe it's just that the page set up or page view need to be re arranged to find all of these features. I'll bet if we can come up with some suggestions these will probably be quickly implemented.



To begin maybe the currency converter can be a small window on the top right hand corner of every page (if possible)...

You're amazing! How astute for someone who professes to be a computer novice to locate the "currency converter" that's already available on the LL site. Not only that, but you give clear, concise directions on how to get to this valuable tool. Bravo!

I note that the LL currency converter provides a "mid-market" exchange rate that's always up-to-date. Though the "mid-market" gives a rate half-way between the "selling rate" and the "buying rate" at any given time, I would think that for most travelers it will be more than adequate for calculating what something costs in another currency. And, after all, currencies fluctuate quite a bit even within a trading day, so nothing can be absolutely exact.

VIP7...with all of the ideas and suggestions be tossed at the LL staff, theymust be feeling much like an NFL quarterback when the "blitz" is on! Well....they wanted suggestions and ideas and now they are pouring it!!

You've got that right!I bet LL Community never expected such a deluge of posts in their wildest dreams. Imagine the job the Moderators have not just reading all the comments and suggestions made by us contributors but also evaluating all the new ideas/requests for improving the LL Community site experience.
