Getting the dates you want

Has anyone had any bad luck with being able to reserve the dates you want? I am looking at a small resort (3 of the rooms listed on the trip description) and I am afraid that even if I call ahead I may not be able to reserve my first or second choice. Will the resort work with you or do you just lose out if the 'use by' date passes and you were unable to reserve a time when the resort had availability an dyou also had availability?



I am new to the website and any lessons learned would be greatly appreciated!

npyrek...we typically call the resort directly to see how they respond before placing our final bid. In the example you have mentioned, with a destination having only three rooms, you certainly need to speak directly with the owner, general manager or reservation manager and get some clarification regarding their policies.



We have found most destination have a degree of flexibility, but nothing beats direct contact with management (then you have to hope and pray there are no changes in management). Good luck and good travels.
