Re: Getting the Most From LL
I have to admit I am ot a twitter person. Do the tweets have to go to your phone? I thought that is where they were sent, and my cell already rings all day for work.

shy, you can set Twitter up on smart phones, but I elect to keep my Twitter account on my PC. I have enough things going on most of the time with my cell without adding a constant supply of new Tweets every few seconds.

j-s-2, I love your comments about setting Twitter up on a smart phone. My cell phone is not smart, as a matter of fact, it needs to be enrolled in some type of special education program. It is good for litle more than hello and goodbye.

All my phone can say is "Hello, Moto"
"wherever you go, there you are"

Hi M...I have the same phone!!! Mine also goes on periodic "strikes" where it will refuse to work if I am talking to certain people. (such as my 88 year old father!) Everytime I am on with him, it goes to the "unknown area." He gets so frustrated with me and wants to buy me a phone that, he claims, will work!!

Before mustering up the courage to sign-up with LL and bid for my first package I created a strategy to make me feel more comfortable with the whole bidding situation. I researched the destination and property on LLthat I had my eye on bychecking outwhat previous travelers had experienced with that properties and other properties in the area. Some of the posts came from LL and when I couldn't find a post from a past traveler on LL I went to TripAdvisor. Then when I was totally satisfied that this property package was the one I wanted I checked to make sure I could get the dates that I wanted with the hotel directly. After I was sure that I could get my dates I signed up and made a bid - it is actually quite exciting to wait until that email arrives in your inbox saying that your bid was accepted. LL is addicting indeed - now I plan my trips around what great deals and packages are offered on LL.

mmm2009, Welcome to LL and the community! It is very exciting when you win a bid, no matter how many you have done. It is sort of like winning the lottery! Shy ~

Now,4 years later,I wouldn't get my holidays from anyone other than LL.Welcome to the wonderful world of LL !

Hi M...Great research prior to bidding!! Thanks for checking the LL community and then cross referencing with TA. It is addicting. Another fun tip is to check out the section called "New Auctions." I love to see the new property offerings in one area!!
