If I am in Portland and have some free time, I may go here - sounds interesting and I am a fan of interesting and unusual museums. In Philly we have the Mutter Museum which is very unusual - I used to live across the street from it and went all the time - here is the link for the Mutter.

Here in Houston, we just got the King Tut exhibition--I haven't been yet, but I've heard it's good! Since I missed my Egypt trip this year, I'm living vicariously through this exhibition. I know this exhibition traveled the world in the 1970s, but I don't think it's been around much in the US since then.

I hope you enjoy it! I've done both--2 yrs ago for the Cairo Museum and many yrs ago locally. I alos worked as a volunteer for the Cincinnati Museum's presentation of Women of Egypt, quite a few years ago, narrated by Jihan Sadat. It was quite a fabulous exhibit.
We're looking forward to going back to Egypt in a few years to get to Aswan and Abu Simbel.
