Re: How to become a "Regular Contributor"
Hi C,
Aren't we smart, we finally figured it out all by our lonesome.... it took us a little while, but we muddled through, we now can rank anything and everything and everbody... we just have to be careful not to burn ourselves but to stay fair and objective in the process. I think the VIP Contributor status will be determined by the LL Administrators/Managing Editors by the end of the month. From what I understand, as a VIP Contributor, at a later stage, we will also be able to contribute our own blogs (if we can ever figure out how that works....). In any case, there will be more in store as this Community or "Forum" grows. It will be interesting to see what happens as we approach this first mile stone by the end of the month.

Re: How to become a "Regular Contributor"
Hi L
"Blog": that's unknown territory to me. I guess for you too. Though I pride myself on being computer-savy and try to follow up on most new trends and happenings in the cyber-world, I must admit that I've not yet even tried to do a "blog". But, I see that the LL Community site does provide for such a thing to be done...oh, well, should you figure out what it's all about and how one "blogs", please fill me in. In the meanwhile, I'll ask my sons to educate me, for I'm sure that both of them have "blogged" a lot! At least, my younger one tells me that he's "blogged" his girlfriend often and a lot!

Re: How to become a "Regular Contributor"
Hi C,
Yes, I am a novice in blogging as well, and what's worse, I have no sons or daughters to help me out on that one... oh well, we'll figure it out. It would be nice if LL would put some instructions in the help section on how to write a blog. Maybe, they realize that not everybody is up on this subject, and they will be kind enough to help us along....

Hi L
Yeah, maybe then we'll be able to have a "blogathon"...

Re: How to become a "Regular Contributor"
Hi curtiejoe,
It seems you and I are the most avid contributors on how to use LL Community board and becoming regular or trusted or VIP contributors. It seems we fill up a lot of space on the various posts. Not everybody might be interested in what we have to say on the subject. I think eventually, the Community board will be more valuable to other users reading about actual experiences and evaluations of the various properties. I noticed that when you open the "profile" of a member, there are listings for "leave a message for a friend", etc. which enables the user to leave a message to another contributor without boring the rest of the community. Maybe this would be a way to communicate on some of the subjects that have little to do with actual travel experiences and property evaluations. What do you think. Willing to give it a try?

Re: How to become a "Regular Contributor"
Hi Liane
Sure. I'd be quite willing to try it out. Good of you to spot this other feature. Only hesitation, for the time being, would be if these 'sideways' messages that bypass the wider Community are not counted toward the achievement of VIP status. if they are, then for sure I'd be all for communicating directly with you and a few other frequent contributors like Mary-j from Scotland and enewseven, both of whom I've had some regular discussions with about their posts.

Re: How to become a "Regular Contributor"
Hi Curt,
Good point. This might well have a bearing toward our message count. Perhaps a LL Moderator could shed some light on this question. But this is still a feature that could be used if we have a more specific question to an individual contributor that is of little interest to the rest of the community.

Re: How to become a "Regular Contributor"
Hi Liane
May very well be the case. I'll be waiting for clarification from LL Moderator on this.

Re: How to become a "Regular Contributor"
ihb, my guess is the LL editors have a "matrix" based on count and quality of postings.
