Issues with LL Site this weekend

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone else has been having problems with the LL site this weekend. I couldn't log in at all on Saturday -- the connection just timed out -- and today I keep getting an error messages saying I don't have sufficient privileges to post comments for the contest stories. I wanted to compliment some of the writers but wasn't able to do so!

I couldn't get into the site on Saturday morning. I finally got in but it was SO slow. Then, just like you, I wanted to compliment Omegaet on his story. (He has my vote for the best story and photo!) I received the same comment that I didn't have priveleges to post. I just assumed it was because the contest ended on 3/14. LL might have blocked adding more information so that they could choose the winner.

Same problem here--the site opened "partially" several times (VERY slowly, as mentioned...)

I waited until 8am PST, checked again and it was corrected shortly thereabouts

I tried a couple of times and I'm of the impression they were having some work done on the entire web site over the weekend. The Best Travel Experience contest closed Friday evening, so LL probably just locked up the entire page, to make sure there were noafter deadlineentries.

You're probably right about LL locking the contest board (though it would have been nice if they just locked the 'add new thread' option but left the comments options available, like some of the other boards). All seems to be back to normal today. I wonder when we'll find out who won the story contest? There were several really nice stories -- maybe there will be something for the runners up as well.

Yes, we were experiencing some server problems over the weekend. They have been worked out and things should be up and running as usual.

I detect a very serious degree of LL withdrawal!! Good to know I am not alone on that.
