LL Needed Enhancements

Hello All, I work in web sales for a large technology company and appreciate the flexibility of travel planning online. I am a big fan of LL, but would love to see some enhancements made to the site.



1) I would greatly appreciate a means to flag properties and request an alert when a property offers an auction. Currently, the only way to see if your favorite property has an auction is to come and check.



2) Since the redesign of the site, I believe some of the navigation has become slightly more difficult. It would be nice to have an "View All Auctions" on the home page, or prominently displayed on the Travel Offers page.



3) I'd also like to see a "Request Property" link on the page...although I see there is a community message board devoted to this topic, perhaps there is a more automated way to handle. I am also a user of opentable.com, an online restaurant reservation site with rewards. It's very simple to request thata new restaurant be added. I believe that a more automated means to request new properties could expland the portfolio of LL properties.

what you may think about doing is to 'scroll over' to the menu bar, click on 'about us' and select 'contact'. if you send your suggestions to the Luxury Link management team or IT team, they may be able to make the enhancements that you are suggesting.

Excellent suggestions. It seems that LL has made the sites more complicated than they used to be. We used to have "View all Auctions" to click on, but somehow this feature has been replaced. Also, posting messages and VIP Blogs should be made more easy, giving us the opportunity to "Save Draft" while we are working on a message or VIP blog. I have lost a number of posts due to switching back and forth between a post and photobucket.com. A "Save Draft" would really be helpful. I can only second obrienkf in saying, please post your suggestions to LL_Administrators to see what can be done.

Hi All -




We did
remove the "View All Auctions" link from the On Sale Module - however, there is a very easy way to access "all auctions" from the site navigation found on every page of the site:




-Go to the Travel Offers Drop Down Menu and click on "All" (2nd selection in the dropdown menu)

















-this will take you to a listing of all of our offers

-If you would like to refine the search to "Auctions-Only" then uncheck the "Buy Now" and "Book A La Carte" boxes and click "GO"




We are in the process of improving the site interface and rely very much on your feedback.
We will be setting up a suggestions board for LL this year so that we can easily view all of your good ideas.
You are truly the best advisors we have.




in the meantime feel free to keep posting your ideas here and we will address them all.

Thank you for your explanation. Some times it takes us a little longer to find all the changes/improvements you make....
However, while you are in the process of improving things, how about a SAVE DRAFT button on the posts and especially on the VIP Blogs. I have lost numerous posts when switching between posts and picture sites like photobucket, loosing the posts and blogs could be avoided if we had a save draft button just like on e-mail. I know it can be done.

I definitely second the recommendation for a 'save draft' option -- I recently lost a rather long VIP blog entry about AKA Central Park which was really frustrating. I haven't been able to bring myself to start over yet.

I have chosen to do the cut/paste routine instead of losing my reviews, like jashermd and, I'm sure, others. I vote for save draft option--many a posting(well-written, I might add!!) have disappeared by accident. Count me in, please.
