Hi Denise,
The only way I know at this point to get pictures into a post is what you had once done in one of your posts. You posted the Picasa link of the pictures of one of your trips (forgot which one it was) right into your post. I was able to open the Pica link and look at your pictures.
They were great and they opened without a problem. Unfortunately, on the new platform, I have not been able to upload pictures, like we were able to do under the old system. Perhaps the LL tech team is still working on these features, even so the features are already listed.

It could be that LL is deciding who can upload to the site because of space issues. Just a guess. The tools are there to let you upload into a post, but it does not seem to work.
I did find, though, that they have simplified the process for posting an online pic into a post..........just copy and paste.

Hi shy,
Can you elaborate on that procedure, I tried and had no luck. Still only got the link to the picture..
Thanks for your help in advance. I truly feel a picture speaks a 1000 words...

I agree. I enjoy seeing photos in postings. It bings the information to life and draws me to access any links provided to learn more. I am opened to lots of future great things to do and see this way.
I just right click on the Intenet website image I want, select "copy", then paste into my LL posting. It will not allow me to resize the photo, so what ever size it posts as is the way it stays. I am using IE, if that makes a difference. Here is a simple copy / paste photo -

Hope this helps.

If that doesn't work, try clicking and opening the little tree icon you will find at the top left of your reply window. This will open a picture posting window. Select the URL tab at the top. Go to the Internet image you want. Right click it and select "properties". In the information window that opens, you will find mid-page a web address for the picture. Copy this address, then paste it into the URL address block on the LL picture posting window. Make sure "retrieve remote file" is unchecked, then click on "insert image". This will insert the photo into your posting.
Here is the same picture I posted previously, using this alternative method:
The picture seems to come though darker compared to the original, but still nice. Hope this helps.

Hi Shy,
Thanks for the info. Here we go. I will try to load a web picture of the Zugspitzplatt ski area we recently skied into here.

The link appeared, and now lets see if the actual picture shows up in the post.

No picture, just the link. I must be doing something wrong. I tried it both ways but still nothing....
