Newbie seeks advice
Hi There,
I'm new here and interested in this auction for Villa Mangiacane:
http://www.luxurylink.com/auctions/a...EXO#bid_module
However, the valid travel dates are here:
"NOTE: This special package is valid for travel either between March 1, 2008 and April 30, 2008 or between October 1, 2008 and December 30, 2008, subject to availability at time of booking. Blackout dates include April 25-27; May 1-4; May 30 - June 3; and July 7 - August 25, 2008. Blackout dates may also apply during other major holidays and special event periods."
I was wanting to book for 10th-14th of May 2008. There is a blackout date on 1-4 May but it says valid only between March-April.
Is there anyone on Luxury Link that I can email about this?
When bidding do you get the dates you require?
Thanks in advance !

Hi Snapyou
Seems to be a very popular package! I see what is bothering you, and you are right, it is a little contradicting. I would call Nancy Taylor at LL customer service to get the explanation on the valid dates of travel & the blackout dates clarified.

Re: Newbie seeks advice
Hi Two2go,
Thanks,I've just called Nancy andmunfortunately, the package is NOT available for the dates i wanted.
HOWEVER,there is a 3 night package which is!
Just another query,if my bid is successful,do i contact the hotel and book thru them or is this done by luxury link?
Finally,as I've not added my credit card details yet,IF my dates were not suitable, how can luxury link enforce payment?
Hope you can help again,
thanks in advance

Re: Newbie seeks advice
Hi Snapyou
I always contact the hotel before I bid. Look on the bottom right hand side of the auction page you will find a 1-800 number free of charge to contact the hotel. The resorts are usually very helpful in providing the type of information you need to make a decision on dates. As far as payment is concerned, LL will be contacting you for your credit card shortly after you have won it. It is paid direct to LL. Once you have the winning bid the package belongs to you and it is not refundable.

Sorry for the repetitive questions....but I'm a newbie as well. We are able to bid for an auction without creditcard on file and the Luxury Link customer service will contact us directly to confirm payment once we win a bid?
