From using the Dubai forum on trip advisor there were a few of us who were going to be in Dubai at the same time so we arranged to meet up for lunch one day. Now we are all great friends keeping in touch via e-mails and on the forum. I was a little sceptical at first and if I was honest, a little nervous too, but I had nothing to worry about. We all had a whale of a time. After chatting so much on the forum, when we met, we all felt like old buddies. Once this site has been running for a while I expect we will all become good friends and probably some of us may actually end up being on the samevacation at the same time and meet each other in person.

How wonderful that you all met up for Lunch in Dubai. My niece is part of a literary forum, and she met up with a gal in Bath, England, and since then they have ben going back and forth to Virginia and to Bath.... They see each other about every 6 months.

Typically on cruise forums there are roll calls so that folks can meet up. I actually met a few people this way - we took the conversation off the main boardand shared private messages. In this case, it was worthwhile since we were able to split the cost of transporationto the port, and also shared a private tour in France. And we all got along really well.



A funny experience was my first LL auction a few years ago. It wasa best shot with 5 winners. Someone on the trip was bragging a bit about how little he paid - he was the low bidder on the auction, so we all won for his price,and we had picked the same week! Very humorus to us, but not toothers who were listening in.

I like my icon because it reminds me of what I look like after I arrive at my holiday destinations. Since I can never afford to fly at the front of the plane like so many of you, I am always more or less hunched over for a day or twofrom sitting in those cramped economy seats for endless hours. Thank you.
