I loved the Miraflores hotel in Lima - we did this through LL a few years ago -awesome bathroom - shower you could fit 10 people in and a sauna right in the bathroom - food is good but there are lots of great places to eat in Lima. Our package included dinner but not anything in the spa - we only were there for 2 nights so did not have a chance to use the spa for anything. Great pickup service to and from the airport.

06-03-2011, 11:53 AMWow, just a month from today and I will be in Peru. I'm so happy all of the other VIPs encouraged me to pull the trigger and make this trip.
Going to be a great trip for sure, thanks to all of the Luxury Link packages.

Hi Mountie,
Bon Voyage to Peru. I want to hear all about it since Peru is still on my bucket list! When you get a chance, please tell me all about it, how you put the trip together, what LL packages you used, what airlines, etc. Also, I will be most interested to hear about how these packages paned out for you, what you liked and what you would do differently. If you get a chance, please send me a PM on how to best go about to put such a trip together. I can tell you all about Europe, but I know zip about South America, nor do I speak Spanish.
Kind Regards,

06-05-2011, 03:51 AMLL_Travelfan, the Peru experience was so simple to organize. Bought three LL auction packages. O-E Miraflores, O-E Colca Canyon and Aranwa Urubamba Valley. Contacted Jim Sanchez and provided him with my proposed travel dates. Was confirmed within three days. Contacted AA/LAN and locked in my flights.
omegaet gave me several tips and emails regarding surface transportation and some suggested guides to try our different experiences.
I can give you and after action report when I return.
This trip has been a simple process so far.

mountie, might be a good thing you are going to Peru before the end of July when President Elect Humala takes office. From what I've been reading, he is leaning way left, much like his buddy Hugo Chavez.
Peru may become a different experience for Americans in the near future.Last edited by jsattapr2; 06-06-2011 at 03:43 PM.

Hi Mountie - have fun in Peru - we did the Miraflores package but have not tried the Aranwa or Colca - we did Cuzco and Machi Pichu instead. The Colca canyon OE package is on my list!
Can't wait to hear all about it. We have been to Peru 2x and love it and there is much more for us to see there
