Re: POSTING PHOTOS
I am by no means an expert on posting photos on the internet, but if anyone needs any help following my instructions, please let me know. Thanks for posting, LH!

Re: POSTING PHOTOS
Hi L travelfan
Here's my first try at up-loading a personal photo of mine (from our recent Caribbean trip). I've followed your instructions and registered at Photobucket and will now try to add one photo ffrom that trip to this post. Hope it works.
Looks like it did NOT work. Photobucket would not let me "paste" the URL of the pic I'd uploaded onio the "Insert an Image" box on the LL Community post. Quite frustrating...can anyone help?

Re: POSTING PHOTOS
Community Members, just remember, if you are uploading your photos into photobucket, you must be prepared to share the images with the world (all of the weird off the wall neighbors and assorted perverts), unless you set your Album setting to Private. See the following:
Mamma Roo
vbmenu_register("postmenu_123682", true);
Sr. Admin.
All content in a Public Photobucket account is available to anyone. Descriptions or titles added to content in a Public Photobucket account will be available via the Photobucket Search (http://photobucket.com/search/). All content within a Public Photobucket account can also be found by entering the username for the account in the Search field.
Content found through the Photobucket Search function is publicly available to anyone and may be used by others. This content may be printed, saved to another computer, stored in another Photobucket account, sent to a mobile device, linked to other web pages, etc.
Newly registered accounts are set to Public by default when the user enters information that indicates they are 16 years of age or older.
If you wish to have your content kept Private, you will need to set your account status to Private in the 'Album Settings' section of your Account Options.
All accounts, whether Public or Private, are required to adhere to the Photobucket Terms of Service (http://photobucket.com/terms.php). Violations of the Terms of Service can result in content being removed or accounts banned without notice.t-2-f

bonniejoy03, your hair looks very dark in the first photo and the sunset shot looks like youarrived at Happy Hour early and stayed a little too long. On the other hand, maybe it's my browser distorting these photos. What do you think?bonniejoy03 wrote:

Re: POSTING PHOTOS
Travel2Fun, that's definitely a good warning and I agree it is a little sketchy to upload personal photos to the great internet for everyone to see at photobucket. So far, I've only uploaded a few pics of animals/landscapes in order to post them at luxurylink. I've tried to avoid any people pictures. Unfortunately, I don't know any other way to share our photos on this message board without exposing them to all the crazies on the internet. So far, so good, as far as there are no stalkers in my case!
Curtiejoe, I'm trying to figure out what the problem might be. Did you resize the photo? Did you copy the URL link from the little box that appears to the right of the photo at photobucket? There are options for URL, HTML and IMG code.
I'll do a tester here:

I think it worked....

Re: POSTING PHOTOS
Hi claasenam
Yep, i followed all the instructions you'd so kindly provided: resized the photo, copied the top URL link of the four set out above each other,in boxes to the right of the picture (don't knowwhether the URL, HTML or IMG code's the right one to use but assumed the URL was the one...), then tried to paste the code back into the LL Community post, but no luck with those last two steps for some reason. Hope you can help. Thanx.

Re: POSTING PHOTOS
Curt,
I honestly don't know what the trouble might be. What web browser do you use? When I copy and paste I simply hit CTRL-C (with the information to be copied highlighted) for copy, and CTRL-P (with the cursor in the LL URL box) for paste. Also, make sure you erase whatever is already in the LL URL-posting box before pasting. Otherwise you end up with two "http//:" symbols and the photo won't show up. Does that work for you?

Thanx for the advice. I use Internet Explorer 7. On my next photo upload try, I'll follow your instructions to the letter and hope things will work.
