Profile - "Send this user a private Message" feature

I tried to use the feature "Send this user a private message" but the site is not working properly. There is no provision to click and send the message on this site. So after typing out the message it goes no where and you have to abandon it to get back to the Community board. Please check into this feature and enable it - unless I overlooked something, in which case, please let me know where I went wrong.

I am somewhat surprised that no one has discovered this post yet or was curious enough to explore that feature of the Community. Perhaps someone would be kind enough to look into the matter of using this feature and report if it worked for them.

Hi Liane,
I attempted to send you a message, so we can see if this feature worked. There is a "send message" link at the bottom of the screen. But it's white text on a light gray background, and not easy to see until you mouse over it. I also tried the feature to add "friends", and that seemed to work.

You did it, it worked and I was able to reply to your testing message. However, I must say, the color scheme that LL is using on this site is so bad, that the "send message" sign does not show up at all. Without your explanation I would have never found it. I by fluke put my mouse to the left-hand arrow and it lit up. Wow I think the site editor ought to have a look at that one and ought to at least make sure the "SEND" button shows up. Thanks a Million!

Lhbrown, I have just tried to send you a P.M. but don't think it has worked. I could not see any "send message" at the bottom of the screen. there was nothing in white on a grey background on my computer??I could only see the "send message" link at the top left of the page, so that is what i clicked on. Who knows you may get it. If you do, let me know. Cheers.

Hi Liane

Quite a few contributors have now picked up on your querie about sending a Private Message. But, from what I've read in the posts so far, there still see to be some glitches in the process. Again, something that the LL Moderators would do well to look into.

I suppose that if anyone really wanted to send a PM, they could do it via a regular E-mail, as long as they knew the E-mail address of those they wanted to correspond with. That, of course, requires a greater level of trust, which some may not feel comfortable with.

disneygal figured it out and I tried it. The feature does work, but the site is very badly designed. When you click on the "Send a private Message" in the profile, the message site opens up and you compose your message. When you are ready to send, there is a "send message" link at the bottom of the screen. But it's white text on a light gray background, and not easy to see until you mouse over it. That is the trick, run your mouse over the left bearly visible arrow and just below the "send message" feature will show up in white over very light grey background - bad design, bad color choice on LL's part. Good luck with it.

The link does work, as I have sent and received a couple of messages, However, I think the LL tech guru needs to work on the programming a bit and incorporatesome "user friendly"simplicity! Just an idea!
