Noticed that there is a rating column. How does it work? Who does the rating and when????
Not sure either LHBrown - i tried to see if i was able to rate other people's posts but I can't see how to do it. Maybe it is only the LL admin users that can rate messages?? Any thoughts from other people would be appreciated.
Thank you - I do think this is probably a question for a moderator.
I too wonder about how rating works. Clicked on "Help" on LL's websiteand found an explanation. The instructions given are as follows:
-log into "Forum"
-look for "Rate this message" (thread) feature at bottom of Messages and Threads
NB. authors can't rate own messages and users may only rate other messages once (ratings are automatically averaged).
Trouble is, after scouring the LL website, I've not been able to find the "Forum" log in. I hple Admin. will let me know how to access it.

We apologize
for the delay.
The rating system is now enabled for everyone's use.
Thank you.
Thanks curtiejoe, with your good search work we finally got the LL moderator to enable the rating system - Good Job!
Hi curtiejoe,
Where is the "Forum" located on the LL layout??? Lost....
Hi L. Brown
That's exactly my question. Can't see it anywhere on LL site and have not heard from anyone with an answer, including the folks at LL Admin. It's a mystery!

Hi L
Fabulous! Still don't know hoew the rating system works but I'm thrilled to perhaps have had a hand in getting it working. As such, I guess the good folks at LL want all contributors and others who read the posts to be able to winnow through the posts by looking at the ratings...I quess if few people like your posts, fewer will even bother to take a look. Maybe this is to let the cream rise to the top?

Hi Liane
Still don't see where the "Forum" is...but have discovered, as you also have, that one can look at other contributors' ranks by clicking on their 'names'. As I thought, there are relatively few Regular Contributors (just two at last count) and these folks (especially a certain Mrs. B in Fla.) are far more active than most other participants. It'll be really interesting and heartening to see not only the total number of contributors to the Community grow over time but also the number of interactions increase as people get more used to the LL system and rely on it and each other for really good information and opinions on world-wide travel destinations, properties, sights and attractions. I find the LL Community site very informative and useful.
