Request to open up a New York Thread under Destinations
Hi LL_Moderators,
Would it be possible to start a New York Thread under Destinations. We have California, Florida and New England, but New York State doesn't really fall under New England - sorry....

Re: Request to open up a New York Thread under Destinations
Hi LL Moderators,
I am disappointed that no new "New York" Subcategory was opened as of yet under the Destinations boards. I am posting my New York posts under the "New England" Subcategory. However, as mentioned, New York does not fall into the New England Region. Please move the New York posts from New England when you get around to it. Thank you

LHB--what a talent--what energy--what's left for you?
Thanks for sharing some great trips. Seriously, do you run on rechargeable batteries??
yes--the NY posts need separate board--heck, YOU need a board of your own!! Just kidding, but the NY posts are fascinating reading--I got tired after the last one; maybe I need a nap now?
I think some LL staff members have been on vacation, so I would guess that we'll see the board appear very soon.
Thanks again for your reviews."wherever you go, there you are"

Hi Kyshel,
Thanks for the encouragement.... I hope you are right and we will see a New York boad soon. We don't have internet at the house at the moment, so I work up my posts at home, and then post them whenever I can get time at the public library.... it's a pain, but... anyway, that why you were seeing a bunch....
Cheers

I'm shocked that the LL Editors/Administrators have still to take action on your excellent request. New York City - The Big Apple - surely deserves its very own Thread as one of the top travel destinations in the world. having visited NYC many times since my first trip there in the 1960s, I find it to be fascinating, exhilarating, intriguing and always fabulous. It's truly a fantastic, world-class city with none like it anywhere else. The sights, the architecture of the buildings, the public places, like Times Square, the museums, the parks, the harbour areas, the history, the traffic, the streets, the shopping, the Broadway shows, the sports venues like Yankee Stadium and Madison Square Gardens, the cultural centres, like Harlem, the music, the food, the fabulous hotels and restaurants, the clubs, the fabled bridges and tunnels, the subway, the Yellow Cab taxis, the Hudson and East Rivers, the World Trade Centre site, the Fulton Street Fish Market, NYU, and all else that's unique, including the New Yorkers themselves, makes it an absolute American treasure.
I hope very soon to see a separate LL Board for New York City.
Curt

Re: Request to open up a New York Thread under Destinations
Hi Curt,
I agree with you, New York certainly should have its own board under "Destinations", like California, Florida, New England. New York is not part of New England, even if California folks might think so.... The "Big Apple" is exciting, for sure, but there is more to New York than New York City. New York City might well be covered under "Cities", or as part of New York (State).
To my surprise, my request has somewhat been answered, in that LL_Moderators opened up a Blog for New York and lumped most, but not all, of my New Yorkcontributions under it.
Again, LL Moderators, could you please open up a New York (State) thread for us under "Destinations".

I keep looking for the NY board, too. LHBrown--I didn't understand the VIP blog email message until now. Now I get it--maybe that means th board will follow soon?
