saving favorite suggestions - vacation destinations

LL moderator or community ? How can we save our favorite suggestions for vacation destinations? Many of these blogs have individual ideas for resorts and wonderful destinations. Is there a way to save favorite portions/responses to questions? Please advise ...funtimes

Hi Funtimes,

The ephemeral nature of threads is a problem on every forum I've been on (Fodors, TripAdvisor, etc). Once a thread gets pushed down from the top it's hard to find again. What I've taken to doing on most forums is cutting and pasting stuff into Word, which works reasonably well even if it's not really convenient.

LL does have a facility where you can make a particular thread 'sticky' so you always see it at the top when you log onto that board. If you hit 'reply' to that thread, you'll see a bunch of tick boxes under the message body box. One of them is 'keep this message at the top of the board list'. If you tick it then that message will always appear at the top of that board in a grey area to distinguish it from the most recent post.

I've been advising others on different threads to use the key word search function on the Community home page. I didn't even know it was there till a moderator pointed it out to me and have found it to be a very useful tool in locating subject content on previous threads. Hope that can help you in the meantime...
