I've located a clinic with H1N1 vaccine and I've decided to go ahead and take the needle. I spend too much time around children and a lot older adults to take a chance on catching it from them.

So far we have not come across anybody who has been or had been striken with the H1N1 virus. We do see the alcohol hand sanitizer bottles everywhere and are careful to use them and to wash hands as often as we can. So far so good.

Re: Specific Health Advice - Swine Flu Precautions
I have 3 employees come down with swine flu. The first caught it on a plane back from Mexico while sitting next to a woman who was obviously ill. So now, anyone coming to work complaining of a headache and sore throat (first symptoms that seem to show up) we immediately send the person to the doctor to be tested.

Re: Specific Health Advice - Swine Flu Precautions
I have heard of quite a few people in our area that were infected with the virus. I thought I saw a statistic that 1 in 6 with the flu have the swine flu. In our area, many people in the chosen categories, are receiving the vaccine. Travellers around us to Chile all seemed fine....only a few "coughers."

OK, I finally got the H1N1 flu shot at a drug store pharmacy (CVS) while driving back north from Florida the other day. I feel very secure now, especially around farm animals.

I'm sooooooo glad I went to the trouble and expense of getting my Swine Flu shot. Not one swine has even come close to me since doing it. Guess it worked. Anyone else have any problem with those swines we kept reading about?

What a bunch of bunk! Yes, yes, I paid for my H1N1 shot. Now I saw an article the other day about all of the serum which is going out of date and will be thrown out.

I got my regular flu shot (they always jab me when I take my dad to the doc) but the flu I got was a weird one.
Just fever high/low, sweats/shakes--no other symptoms besides aches--10 days--viral--no meds could help but anti-inflammatories. We're off to Mexico in 2 wks and as long as it isn't raining....swines be damned!!!"wherever you go, there you are"

Yes, I am another one of the clowns that bit on the H1N1 scare and paid for the shot.
