TRUSTED CONTRIBUTOR STATUS

Noticed for the first time the "Trusted Contributor" status. What is the criteria for this one and how do you obtain it. Would someone from LL please shed more light on the ranking system, please?

As you pointed out, looks like I'm the first "Trusted Contributor" on LL and as far as I can see, YOU are the first "Regular Contributor"!!! I guess that makes the two of us unique and in a league of our own (at least for the time being...). Still wonder what the difference is and how anyone achieves either one of these specific levels. Hope that LL Admin will be able to enlighten us on this.

Hi there, I have come to the same conclusion. I guess, LL Moderators/Administrators will enlighten us in time. On the rating system I am beginning to think that since the writer cannot rate their own message the Message Rating does not appear, only on the other contributors' messages will the Message Rating appear to be ranked. Am I correct???

Well, at least none of us have been branded as "Not To Be Trusted" Contributors.....at least not yet!

Touche Omegaet, however, I have seen at least one post where a Moderator interferred and deleted the expletive..... Seems no one has obtained "Trusted Contributor" status since curtiejoe who passed on to "Regular Contributor" since or the "Trusted Contributor" status was scraped.... by the way so has the blue color denotation... I think we will see more on that early next year when their should be some better organization in place.

lhb....I think this is a "beta" site for LL. One of my "tech geeks" suggests that LL is trying out some new ideas at real time and we're the "rats in the maze." We're probably being observed and the LL staff is adjusting on the move.So far, I've enjoyed being part of the experiment! I'm confident we'll see many, many changes in the days to come.

I agree with you that we will be seeing many more changes to the LL Community format. A little patience is in order till the beginning of next year... Between now and that time, we are just beating a dead horse with our speculations... Only time will tell....

Apparently there has been some inflation in LL contributor status...I'm at my 50th post and still rated as a lowly contributor. Either that or there's more to it than just the number of posts...

I think LL Moderators just haven't upgraded you yet. I have noticed other regular contributors with your number of posts that have been upgraded to Regular Contributors. I think LL Moderators just haven't noticed your number of posts yet, you should be upgraded shortly.

OK Everyone. Am I the computer loser or what. Where is "trusted contributor status?" I seem to be out of it. I agree about the "experimental phase." I know it is new and agree that new ideas are probably be tried....on us! Wonder if this qualifies us for an extra "surprise!" You all have been very helpfulin figuring out this community and the nuances. I feel lost! Guess its time for vacation again!
