unsent posts
I am not sure if this post will work or not? I had written a fairly long post for the "Caribbean" and pressed the "send" button but it came back that it was unable to send it. I thought maybeI had not logged in. So I logged in again, wrote the post again and "sent" it, but the same happened again, it could not be "sent"?? Can anyone help me? Am I doing something wrong? Have I maybe pressed some key on my computer that is causing the problem? I have never had any problems like this before on L.L.I will go and try it again.

Re: unsent posts
Hi Mary-J,
This has been happening to me too lately as well. I would hit the send button and get a response about traffic or other posts going up at the same time, however shortly after this message appeared, the post would be up when refreshed the page. If you keep hitting send, it will post as many times as you pressed send and there is now way to take that down, which happened to me once. Hopefully there will be some type of edit feature for the member who posted to delete any duplicates. We'll see what happens, but my best advice is to hit send and then refresh, that should work.

Re: unsent posts
It's ok. I re-wrote the post and tried sending it again and it worked! Very strange.

Re: unsent posts
Hi mary-j ad enewseven,
I experienced the same thing. I thought it had something to do with being logged out. I wound up logging in a couple of times before I was able to post the message. I was concerned about losing the post, so I did a copy and then when I got back to the post I wanted to answer, I pasted the message in. I was wondering if this had something to do with LL working on the site in view of the new format we are supposed to see after the first of the year.

Re: unsent posts
Hi all - the "log in" times out after a certain period of time. This is typical website behavior. The LL moderator should be able to tell us the timeout setting. If you're logged in for longer than that time, you have to log in again to perform an action that requires you to be logged in, such as posting or sending a message. Hope that makes sense. As Travelfan says, it's a good idea to copy your post or email, just in case. I doubt that the work for the new site is being done in a way that would interfere with website use in the live environment. I hope not!

Re: unsent posts
...my computer geeks tell me that LL is working with a beta site and consequently, there are lots of bugs that need to be worked out.

Re: unsent posts
Hi O,
Your computer geeks got that right. Hopefully, by the beginning of next year when LL comes out with the new format, they will also have tweaked the functions and corrected the various glitches. Noticed you did not have your "send a private message" turned on. Is this intentional on your part??? Just curious....
