Use of VIP Certificates
Hi,
I have a specific question on the use of VIP certificates. Suppose I purchase a 4 night auction package and apply one of my $250 VIP Gift Certificates. Since the auction package for that particular property does not allow bookings on Friday and Saturday nights, I would like to buy Friday and Saturday night at the hotel's regular rate via Luxury Link to make that a 6 night stay. On these two extra nights, could I use another $250 VIP Gift Certificate? Does anyone have experience with buying hotel nights through Luxury Link and using a $250 VIP Gift Certificate??? Any insight would be appreciated.

Re: Use of VIP Certificates
I'm pretty sure that once they got rid of the a la carte offerings, you can only apply the promo GC's to package purchases.

Re: Use of VIP Certificates
LL_Travelfan & kyshel, we were unable to use a VIP certificate recently when we booked a straight purchase through Jim Sanchez. Understand the VIPcertificates can only be applied to auction or buy now packages.
Worth a question to and confirmation from Jim....things change!- Ω -

Speaking of VIP certificates, I was pleased to learn we can now enter them directly at the time we win a auction. This is a real plus!

Re: Use of VIP Certificates
Hi M. Great news! I bid and won an auction over the weekend and the VIP certificate worked quite well!! It as perfect. The page showed the price less my credit. After I won, the confirmation also showed the price less the GC. PERFECT! Now, I haven't checked the credit card but it should be PERFECT! Thanks LL for adding this feature.

What's a VIP? (We're new here)
Do you 'earn' these certificates after booking so many packages through LL?
Looked around but couldn't seem to locate this info - would appreciate it if someone pointed us in the correct direction.
Thanks!
