VIP GIFT CERTIFICATES

Anyone know when the next date is for VIP gift certificates to be sent out ?

Oh and can they be used along with the $125 savings that are curently onsite?

sadly, they cannot be combined with any promotional GCs but if your friends love you, ask them for LL GC's for holiday and birthday gifts! (I'm tired of culinary store and chain restaurant gift cards!)

snapyou, we're in a period of great change through out the world and some of that change could involve VIP Certificates. kyshel and other long time community members, you have experienced change in VIP Certificates, right?

I think my take is while the denomination of a Community GC award has halved, the value has been lessened by other promotional specials. Non-contributors can get $125 off a first-time purchase thru some affinity programs (skymilesshopping.com, worldperks, etc) as well as thru the current promo for $1000 min pkg purchase. I am still happy to use mine when I can, however I still would like to see a one-time combination of just 2 GC's to apply to a minimal LL purchase (say $1000) per calender year. Not all of us have quarterly vacation periods. I happen to be very fortunate that I can usually do that, but it is getting tougher and tougher.
Good question--anyone else?

Although I am new to this community and haven't qualified for a vip certificate, possibly the idea of issuing the certificates on a semiannual basis in the amount of $500 rather than quarterly for $250 would be a consideration. Maybe someone has a thought on this idea?

Snapyou, I e-mailed Luxury Link and asked about combining a $250 gift certificate with the $125 savings and they told me that we are allowed to do that. The VIP certificates are usually mailed out in the first week of the next quarter, so they should be coming out this week. In regards to combining gift certificates, I think that's a great idea. I don't travel as often as I would like and it would be great if I could combine gift certificates. My wife won a $150 gift certificate in the Luxury Link photo contest, but we may not use it since the $250 certificates give us a bigger discount.

Is that in effect right now? I was originally told you can't combine ANY promo GCs but I am pleased to hear that!
I'd actually bid higher to get the auction I want if I could do that!

Kyshel, that's what they told me. It took a few days for Luxury Link to get back to me. You may want to contact them directly to be 100% sure.

It's been a long, long time since I've spoken with many of you. Just to clarify, "promotional" gift certificates are not combinable. However, you may certainly combine a single promo certificate with any "retail" gift certificates that have been given to you by friends or family or with any "credits" you may have on file.

Nancy, does that mean that we can't combine a promotional gift certificate with the $125 price reductions in packages over $1,000? I was told that we could combine them.
