What happens if an auction's price or availability date range is in error?
Before bidding on an auction, I normally call the property first to check on my desired dates. Have you ever done so and the property seems to think there may be an error in the price or the range of availability dates? They're not sure if it's their error or LL's. Of course the one month in question is the only month we're interested in it.
Have you ever encountered anything like this?

yes and I am still trying to resolve the date issues for more than a month since purchase regarding hotel's verbal info; however, there is light at the end of the tunnel!! Sure hope so, because our departure date is less than 3 wks away. The diligent concierges at LL are slaving away for us as I type.

In this case, the LL auction shows a month of availability but the property is saying that month it isn't available for the LL auction and the price is too good to be true.

I would think if it was a LL error, LL will probably stand behind its offer, and I would let LL handle the matter. If the dates are outside of the LL offer, then it is up to the hotel to grant or reject your preferred dates. If your dates are outside of the LL offer and the hotel can fill their rooms without LL, especially during holidays and high season, they will probably do so.

YIKES....Try not to get caught in the middle and pass it on to the staff at LL. I have had this happen and I was getting very upset when the hotel passed on information that was different then LL info.....Let the two of them fix it. I wouldn't bid until I had LL's backing....just me....

It's part of the LL conundrum--like the Thanksgiving promo. Their hotel gave me verbal availability and we are still trying to resolve it (using LL concierges who aren't off work for 3 wks) with less than 3 wks until we arrive at the destination overseas. Every Friday gives me hope only to wait until after 11 am EST for the weekend's answer from Asia.
Hope your auction is still available after Monday--that's what I had to do. Fortunately, the promo ran thru that Monday midnight PST (one advantage of time zones!)
Good luck!"wherever you go, there you are"
