Winter Sale and New Acutions

I have noticed a few properties have "Winter Sale" in red on select offers. The Langham Hong Kong had a 20% OFF auction price. Sorry to say I couldn't use the dates and it is no longer available but it was a SUPERB buy at under $500 for 3 nts. We really enjoyed both Langhams in HKG.

I;m sure there are others; I can't recal the offer but I saw a 15 %s ale somewhere...-has anyone else seen the WINTER SALE ??

I posted a thread on the Africa forums but hardly anyone goes there.
I did some research and it's a great location, near Kruger but on the edge of non-low risk malarial region of Limpopo. From what I read, the game viewing is excellent and the reserve (4 lodges--Karula is the smallest/most luxurious) has a diversity of terrain and features rivers, as well as extensive bush. AND spotted kitties!! We have yet to encounter our first leopard...
The price is quite good, since most luxury lodges typically run $500-1000 per person! Kapama Karula works out to about $650 day for TWO plus extras like gratuities and beverages.
Their suites look AMAZING. I hope this offer stays on the LL table for a month or so, or until I can solve all my med issues and can feel comfortable making the purchase. (please LL--keep it open for me!!)
I've already contacted the lodge about the 6 hour drive or flying into the airport near the reserve and a few other goodies.

Hi K...I have been looking for some new properties in Argentina, Greece, and the mid-Atlantic Region. I saw a few in Argentina. I haven't noticed the "red" sales....Must look better! Get well soon...the world is waiting for you!

Get better soon. I so want to do one of the Africa safaris but $ issues for us. No free flights or mucho FF miles to help us get there ;-)

Did you see the new Orient Express package LL just came out with? Have a look at Orient-Express, Botswana in Tour, Botswana - Tour Package Deals | Luxury Link The dates are only from now till End of Dec. but I trust LL will repeat that package at a later date.
Also the new Mantis Collection Safary The Mantis Collection, South Africa in South Africa - Tour Package Deals | Luxury Link sounds very nice. There you have a wider range of dates to chose from and the 7 day package is quite reasonable.

Mantis is sort of new, but the OE Botswana has been around for a while. I am still surprised OE Botswana is not as "inclusive" as most luxury lodges in southern Africa.
