Barbuda Beach House-anyone have some information ?

Hello All,



I came across The Barbuda Beach House on LL and the place looks great, has anyone been there or have some detailed information about it ? The only thing I found was a small write up in Travel and Leisure Magazine, which has me intrigued

When I was going through brochures last yearI came across a picture of a balcony with a lounger on itoverlooking a pristine white sand beach. That was exactly the type of place I was looking for! That picture was from Barbuda Beach House. I agree with you that it looks really lovely. It only has 21 suites, all with private wooded terraces overlooking the sea and each suite has 2 "ambassadors" to each suite to look after you during your stay. It sounds very intimate. If you go on to "trip advisor"you will see all the reports from it. I must warn you that there are a couple of reports which do not have good things to say about it, but since then there have been another two recent reports which are excellent. You will find that with most reports on there. There is always somebody who will moan about their hotel, no matter how wonderful it is, you can never pleaseeveryone. I would take these bad reports on The Beach House with a pinch of salt as all theother reports have wonderful reviews. If you are looking for a luxury resort, not too busy and excellent views from your suite thenpersonally I would seriously consider The beach House. If you do decide to go, thenI would love to hear all about your stay as it is one resort I would like to experience. thanks.

I've read the reviews on Trip Advisor and I agree there were a few that looked suspect. I figured now that I have access to some very experienced travelers on the LL Community maybe someone can shed some light on the Barbuda Beach House. It's tough when you read 20 reviews that are great but there's that one that isn't and starts to raise questions...as you said you can't please everyone!!

Please let me know where you got the 'smiley face' symbol at the ends of your message. It adds a nice, personal touch.

If you do a manual smiley (semicolon and ) it will do it automatically like the software that an instant messenger would use or the alternative would be when writing your message, look on the toolbar for the happy face and then you can pull down the full expressions menu. Hope that helps

Thanx for the info. You said to make a smiley face manually all you do is hit "semicilon and" but I think you forgot to say what came after the "and"...

Also, you suggested an automatic approach using the "toolbar" when doing a message and to pull down a whole menu of symbols. Again, I'm writing this message to you but I see no "toolbar" anywhere on this LL webpage...so, please help with some more details.

When writing a message, under the message body you should see a bunch of writing tools (bold,Italic,underscore, keep going unit you see the smiley face icon.



The other way is to do a semicolon and a close caption symbol so you make two eyes and a smile
