Buccaneer, Sandals/ Antigua or jalousi / St. Lucia/ Bouganvilla / Barbados????
February escape from Vermont; the Buccaneer seems perfect. Any thoughts from seasoned travelers? We're both 60, young at heart and looking for a relaxing, romantic holiday. Thanks. Roberto

Hi R....Please give us some more information such as: Do you want nightlife, sights to see, restaurants, casinos, shopping, quiet or party? Some of these might help us narrow your choices. What activities do you enjoy on your vacation? THanks....can't wait to help!

BonnieJoy, Thanks for your kind offer. The Buccaneer exemplifies what we're looking for: expansive grounds, nightly music, affordable, diverse dining options, nice beach and pool, ocean facing balcony, shuttle to town, golf, nature and art.
The Anse Chastinet in St. Lucia is similar but does not have a pool. Others, like Caneel Bay sound marvelous but are beyond our price point.
Please forward any thoughts/suggestions.
Thank you. Roberto

Hi J....Would you be using an LL package? You might want to consider Nevis or Anguilla if you are looking for a more mellow place. I don't think I have seen Caneel on bid. St. Lucia is very lush and a beautiful island for sight seeing. I am a little partial to the smaller, less touristy islands. St. Maarten might give you night life, affordable prices and nice beaches. I see an auction for La Semana....very nice. Plus, you can do a day trip to Anguilla, St. Barths, or Saba.

I certainly would avoid sandals! My choice would be Antigua Carlise bay is fabulous.
