BVI
I have just come across Guana Island Resort and it looks so perfect. Just my type of place! As if it is not difficult already for me to choose which auction to go for as there are so many I am interested in already. But, this island has something "special" about it. As for those private beaches....I can just see my husband andI sunbathing on them. Has anyone been to this island who could tell me what they thought of it? I'm not sure how easy(or difficult) it would be to get to it from the UK? Any info would be great.
Thanks.

Re: BVI
Hi mary-j! I saw your post on the other thread under the certification discussion. When I saw Guana Island, I decided to give it my "best shot" and placed a bid in the auction that ended Friday. Now I see it's back as a single auction, so there's still an opportunity to get a great deal. I saw at least one post elsewhere on these boards from someone who had been to Guana: http://community.luxurylink.com/luxurylink/board/message?board.id=board-style-1&message.id=11&view=by_date_ascending&page=2&sub_ type=bookmark&feedback_type=add
Our trip is not planned until Novemebr, but of course I'll report back after our visit. We had visited the BVIs on a SeaDream cruise a few years ago and have since wanted to go back.
I'm not sure about the difficulty of getting to the BVIs from the UK. Guana Island picks you up at the Tortola Beef Island airport. It's the same for Peter Island also. We're actually planning to fly into St. Thomas, spend one night, and then take a ferry to Tortola. This will save us a few airline connections.
