I have not stayed at the hotel per se, but have used the gym, strolled the grounds and visited the property. My opinion is that it is a lovely property with great beach access. The crowd can be a little 'stuffy' but I think the packages offered here are definitely of interest.
Not much to do in Mustique. Be sure to get a 'mule' and drive all over the island. Go for drinks at Firefly Inn which is where we stayed.

Hi ctkathy,
Thanks for your first hand info. Your assessment concurs with that of bonniejoy03. I am still batting around the question what we want to do this late fall (late October/November). The choises are infinite.... California to see friends, the Caribbean Islands to relax or back to Europe for more sightseeing or hiking..... decisions, decisions....

I visited Mustique last fall as part of a sailing charter....I did not stay at the Cotton House but visited and would concur with the previous comments: lovely (if a bit stuffy) and nice, private beaches.
One thing to do from Mustique that I would highly recommend is to visit the Tobago Cays(possibly the single most gorgeous place in the entire Caribbean). Think turquoise water like you've seen in pictures of Bora Bora or Maldives.....and no development or hotels.
The restored schooner Friendship Rose www.FriendshipRose.comdoes lovely day sails from Mustique to the Tobago Cays.
