Cuba
Has anyone here been to Cuba? If so, what travel group did you use and would you recommend them?

I think certain travel from the US to Cuba is now allowed due to a change made last year to reinstate and allow licenses for US tour opaerators leading "peope-to-people" trips for "cultural or educational" purposes.
I came across this list of providers and charter airlines offering "People to People" travel to Cuba, or I understand you can go from a third country like Canada, Mexico, the Bahamas or the Cayman Islands. With the later approach, I've read that you are more free to travel wherever once there.

I have some European friends who have been, but I doubt I could help you with recommending a tour operator since they've all gone with european companies.. But if you have any other specific questions I could ask them for you...

Search The Web
There are a number of travel agencies based in Miami that specialize in travel to Cuba for US citizens....just do a search and you may be surprised by the results. There are innovative and 'legal' ways for US citizens to travel under the protections of arts and cultural programs.
These agencies are more than happy to share their information.
Some people are a bit reluctant to use the Cancun or Nassau gateways, but these programs operate on a regular basis and to my knowledge no political prisoners have been taken nor have issues been encountered at reentry into the US.
