Honeymoon in the Caribbean

Hello,



I've read so many great posts about the best islands in the Caribbean and still need to ask - If you had to do your honeymoon over, knowing what you know now, where would you go?



We are looking for beautiful beaches, good food and a romantic setting. We are social so we wouldn't mind having a fun hotel bar, but we definitely would like a place to retreat to and be alone.



I've heard wonderful things about Anguilla, however there aren't any deals on this link right now. We will be flying from Miami so I would like the shortest flight possible to maximize our time on the beach! However, if someone says go to the Grenadines because it's the absolute best...I would go!



We are looking for 5-7 nights in late October andwe don't want to break the bank!



Any and all suggestions would be much appreciated!!!!

Hi Wilken and thanks for the challenge! We go to Anguilla twice a year and love it! It is very relaxing, great beaches, great restaurants, and not a highly populated area. The properties I would consider for a honeymoon would be Ku, Cap Juluca, Cuisinart. These properties would provide privacy yet a social area (bar, watersports, activities.) It is a very easy connection from Miami. The only negative to this is that October is considered hurricane season. Some of the properties close during this time and/or activities on the island pretty much close down. A lot of the fine restaurants in Anguilla might be closed.
