Hi lhbrown,
I believe this property in is Grenada, not in the Grenadines. So, not as difficult to get there. Major airlines, such as AA, fly to Grenada. I've been considering LaLuna for a while, so I'm also interested to see if anyone on these boards has been there.

Hi disneygal,
You are right, my error. Laluna is located in Grenada. Strangely, no one bid on today's auction for Laluna. I asked Laluna resort on how to get there, and Christine from the resort e-mailed me that one can use AA through Puerto Rico, or through Jamaica. I also looked at Rendevous at St. Luicia which sounded nice and had nothing but rave reviews on TripAdvisor. Laluna reviews were also good on TripAdvisor, except for the most recent review where someone complained about the resort serving frozen fish rather than fresh fish. I will be watching those two resorts for a little longer before I make up my mind....

Hello,
I just won a bid for LaLuna this Friday. I too have been looking at LaLuna for some time now as I very much enjoy smaller resorts with open air style rooms. Hopefully LaLuna will be as enjoyable as some of our many previous travels. I will be going to LaLuna in September, to get to Grenada I will be flying AA going through San Juan. Flights tend to arrive late into Grenada using AA so another option is to fly to San Juan or Barbados and then fly Liat into Grenada. You may have better flight times using that method. I am using free mileage from AA so I am stuck with what ever they give me.
BTW: If you are considering St. Lucia, I have a suggestion. I have been there 3 times and I highly recommend Anse Chastanet. Anse Chastanet is a very laid back beautiful resort. 300 steps to get up to your room. The HUGE rooms (Deluxe Hillside or Premium) sit on stilts surrounded by foliage and have amazing views. On our last trip we upgraded to Jade Mountain (which is part of Anse Chastanet) for the last two nights of our stay. Jade Mountian is Life Styles of the Rich and Famous Beautiful. We are talking one wall open to the piton mountains in a 1400 sq foot room with an actual pool (not a plunge pool, a lap pool) in your room. AMAZING! Hubby and I will be going back to Anse and Jade next year for a 4th visit. I have visited A LOT of exotic locations and Anse Chastanet is still one of my favorites. I am hoping LaLuna makes the list!!!
Good Travels!

Hi tstevens824,
First let me say welcome to the LL community board as a new user and congratulations on your winning the recent Laluna auction. Also thank you for your comments on how to get to Grenada and your recommendations for St. Lucia. One of our VIP contributor wrote a VIP blog with photos on Jade Mountain where he and his wife recently spent their honeymoon. Jade Mountain is definitely an auction to watch and grab when it comes up again. You said you will be going to Laluna in September. We were thinking of Nov/early Dec., so maybe you can report back and let us have your first hand experience on that property. Good to have you with us on the LL community.

Hi LL-Travelfan,
Thank you so much! I would love to report back and let you know about our trip. I just scheduled our rooms with Laluna today. I spent a little while on the phone with Debbie from Laluna discussing the different room options/views/privacy ect. Debbie was very helpful!
Thanks for the warm welcome!
