Little Dix recently

Considering a trip to the BVI's. Has anyone stayed at Little Dix recently? This might seem silly, butcouple of years ago we were considering staying there. I could not get past the photo of the ghastly blue tile bathrooms. If anyone saw my comment on the Westin St. John's decor; I swear I am not a prissy lunatic over decor. I just prefer more soothing color tones. Geez, perhaps I should not post this, but I would truly appreciate some feedback. (Just not about my shallowness, if possible!)

Hi Kgeiss. Please look at the previous posts about Little Dix bay a few weeks ago. I had a thread in there. We stay in Virgin Gorda in September and always like to walk around Little Dix (and hope someone there will play tennis with us!). The property just had some renovations. They have also added some villas on the hill. I would suggest calling Little Dix directly and requesting one of the newer rooms/locations. The villas looked wonderful!~ Don't know your time of year and budget.

Thanks for answering. I am new to this. I will look back at previous threads. Our budget could accomodate Little Dix;although it will have to be in the low season, which for usmeans July or August. Perhaps we will have that game of tennis some day!

Just an FYI: When we are visiting in September, the place is SO quiet. I bet you could get some great deals. I think they might have more families in July and August. I would call directly and see what you can do. Also, try Biras Creek. Last year was the 1st time they opened in September. While we were visiting, there were only a few couples! This might be a nice idea to do Little Dix and Biras Creek. Both properties are lovely. (Hey and both have tennis courts! )

Dear Shallow (lol).. You might consider Caneel Bay, St John. I have spent many a night there in my early years with and withourt kids. The next to the bottom rate rooms include a monster room that is a secrete ( in the Tennis gardens section) at regular rates. The tone is understated old wealth, no glitz but very classy. If you book EP you can take advantage of the plesant little resturants "downtown" in Cruize Bay - 5 minutes by $3 -4 pp cab. Very safe and welcoming. World class beaches. Convient from St Thomas airport - escorted all the way. - Yada
