08-27-2007, 12:54 PMLOOKING FOR LUXURY ALL-INCLUSIVE
Hello,
I am hoping that someone can help me. After 8 years of marriage and 3 children later under the age of 5, my husband and I are looking to get away. I was wondering if someone can help suggest a wonderful ADULT all-inclusiveresort. Since we are leaving the children behind, I would prefer not to be around any children. If its not all-inclusive that wont matter either. I would prefer that, but if its the perfect place, it wont matter. Our honeymoon at Las Ventanas was unbelievable, I am not quite sure we can top that, but we would like to come close to it. Weare interested in any of the Carribean desitnations.
Hope you can help!
Thanks!

Re: LOOKING FOR LUXURY ALL-INCLUSIVE
Hi SVL1211,
Here are a few ideas. These are mainly adults-only, but always best to check in case they have a change in policy or allow children at limited times of year.
Galley Bayand Hermitage Bay in AntiguaGuana Island in the BVIs - I will report back after our trip in November. I read Peter Island was now accepting children, so probably not a good option.Tiamo on South Andros Island in the BahamasCayo Espanto in Belize - there's an LL package now!LaLuna in Grenada - there's usually an LL package - not completely all-inclusive, but the package includes most meals.
I'll keep thinking and may post with more ideas. If any of these sound appealing, that may help me focus....

Thank you so much for your time in answering and your suggestions. They all seem great, but not to sound silly, they lack the luxury feel I was looking for. I felt that when i checked most of them out, although they were small, private, romantic, they still lacked something for me. Maybe its the Mediterranean in me.Do you know of anything newer? They all seemed kind of old as well. I do not do too well with the outdoors and nature....lol I just want the beach, pool and great food, along with an amazing spa and great service.
I hate so sound like this, but I have no better way to explain exactly what I am looking for.
Thanks again and I hope that you can maybe come up with some other suggestions for me.

Re: LOOKING FOR LUXURY ALL-INCLUSIVE
Hi SVL1211,
It's true that these places are somewhat nature-oriented. Hermitage Bay is brand new, but I get what you're saying. Not sure if you're interested in Mexico again, but how about Le Blanc in Cancun? I'm also keeping an eye on Secrets Maroma, scheduled to open in the Spring. That might not work for your schedule. Jade Mountain in St. Lucia might fit the bill. I believe they have an all-inclusive plan. There's a good review on this site from someone who chose Jade Mountain for his honeymoon after much research.

Re: LOOKING FOR LUXURY ALL-INCLUSIVE
If you totally want to relax and aren't looking for shopping, golf, etc, I would recommend the British Virgin Islands, Mustique, or Anguilla. In the BVI, Peter Island is wonderful. As to accepting children, I believe their policy is no children undner 8 however we have seen children under 8 there. So, I would be aware of this. Guana Island would be lovely and secluded. Biras Creek (they have LL packages also) would serve your needs in a beautiful Caribbean setting. Mustique is truly private (plus they have an LL package!). It is a very small island. On Anguilla, you really aren't going to find an all-inclusive property so I would recommend a villa rental with staff. What do you think?

Had a fantastic and first class all-the-way experience at Royal Plantation in Jamaica. It's all inclusive with top-notch food, wine, liquorand service. Probably the most luxurious and pampered we've been in the Caribbean. I can't say enough about the quality. The price is steep, but well worth it.

Half Moon Bay and he Ritz Carlton in Jamaica both have complete "all inclusive" plans and both allow children. Properties are directly next door to eachother, close to the MB airport and both have excellent golf courses.

One of the best we have been to is Body Holiday " Le Sport" in St. Lucia. Just not sure about children there, but everything else was great, all inclusive with a wonderfull spa. They have packages that give 5 visits per person in their plans. Hope this helps

Not in the Caribbean, but Casa Velas, in the Marina area of Puerto Vallarta, is lovely, all inclusive, and adult oriented. Excellent food. Not in the same league as your honeymoon place (but what is?) If you don't find what you are looking for exactly, check it out. (Make sure to do the jungle canopy zip line). Grand Velas is even a little nicer, but bigger and laden with kids. You don't want Velas Vallarta. More kids and not nearly as nice.
