02-19-2008, 04:34 PMLooking for romantic getaway in June direct flight from Atlanta
My husband and I would like to take a 4-5 night trip in June while our kids are at camp. We'd love to just relax on the beach in a nice resort style setting but not pay $1,000usd/night! We need a direct flight from Atlanta and nothing more than a few hours flight time. I'd love any suggestions!
Thanks,
Need to get away

Hi Ghirardini. For a quick getaway, I would suggest Bermuda. It is a direct flight, it is only abouot 2 hours and it is beautiful and relaxing. I have stayed at Surf Side Beach Club and Ariel Sands. I think there are also some LL auctions up for some of the other resorts. June weather should be nice.

ghirardini-We live in Atl and have gone to Turks and Caicos islands two of the last three years. Two hour fleight on Delta. Stay in Provo on one of the best beaches you will ever see. Lodging prices in all ranges. Go to the Turks and Caicos officail website, they will have all the info you need.

Hi,
My husband & I just spent our 19th wedding anniv. in a perfect place.....it was really heaven! We stayed at the Breezes Resort & Spa in Curacao (2 1/2 hour flight from Miami, Florida--not sure how long from Atlanta, GA). We flew from Seattle, WA..3.5 hrs, then 4 hours, then 2.5 hrs. and it was worth every long flying minute to get there. Anyhow, check out their web site.....just type in Breezes Resort & look under the Willemstad, Curacao site. It is ALL-inclusive, and it really is. We only spent extra for a car rental & a few souvenirs when shopping in the city. The photos you see online REALLY are what the place looks like on the beach & at the resort---my photos look the same! I am sure you will really love it.
For full details of our experience there, check on Luxury Link bulletin board posts under the topic of Curacao, I just finished posting there tonight. The only thing you might check is what the weather will be like when you go. Not sure what their seasons are. April 3-11th was mid 80's, but with the wonderful warm trade winds I never got too hot or cold--just right. Evenings are great too......mid to upper 70's or so.
