I'm not sure if that's too much to ask for in a resort, but then again neither of us have ever left the country. I like would like to try snorkeling and swimming with the dolphinsso I was thinking(from what I have heard)Puerto Rico would be my best bet. I just wasn't this to be special fun and relaxing. Help!!!

I got married in St. John's at the Westin 2 years ago and then just got back after going there for our 2nd anniversary. We did the destination wedding. It was wonderful!!! We also rented a catamaran for the day for our wedding guests. They did not have it as part of the hotel, so I asked the wedding planner..and she gave me names.....I think they may actually have it as an option now...not sure...because the wedding planner loved the idea. GREAT place for a wedding and a honey moon! Quiet, but you can rent jet skis, or a jeep and go into the city... where there is fun nite life and shopping. Great restaurants too! Have fun, good luck!

pshia0615, I just returned from an awesome honeymoon in the British Virgin Islands two weeks ago. Stayed at Biras Creek and Peter Island. Please refer to my other posts on our experience.
Both are very private and secluded, especially Biras, but may not satisfy your need for an active nightlife, athough the resorts have a manager's cocktail party on Mondays and live low key musical entertainment about three times a week.

I combined a 7 and 4 day package found on Luxury Link, and everything worked out perfectly.

Check out my post on Marbella, which I should have put in destinations, but is hidden in the General Q&A postings. It's a little quieter in the middle of march, but there's sure to always be a party scene. For adventure though, you might have to rent a car and drive down to Cadiz/Gilbralter. The shopping is quite nice, top notch.
Puerto Rico does have wonderful night life and everything that you mentioned. Airflights are obviously extremely affordable relative to flying over to Europe. I can't speak for the shopping. There are a couple of packages on LL that will fit the bill.
