Raffels (Canouan)...Is this just a place for great golf ???
This place is expensive and very nice, I'm concerned that it is just a place for great golfing and while that's a huge benefit, I'm wondering if there is much more to do in addition to golfing (which could be a great vacation by itself).

Just got their brochure in the mail yesterday. It looks like they have a nice spa. I also think they have tennis courts. The brochure didn't have the prices. I thought I had seen the resort offered on LL? I think it was just redone (in the past two or three years) and changed ownership...not sure though....I was wondering what else was on that island. It doesn't look like you can rent a villa not affilitated with the hotel.

Hi BonnieJoy,
Yes, I've seen it once on LL for a great rate, but didn't know enough about it to bid. It does look like it was recently renovated and does have a Trump Intl Golf course. I know they have been advertising too in all the expensive magazines. I just didn't want to end up somewhere that was all just golf, I don't think my fiancee would appreciate that LOL (even though I wouldn't complain)
. Thanks for your response.

If you or your travel partner enjoy beautiful, amazingbeaches, snorkeling or scuba diving, Canouan is perfectly situated for a visit to the Tobago Cays. Tobago Cays are a small group of uninhabited desert islands surrounded by pristine coral reefs. Picture azure blue water like the Maldives or Bora Bora. The Cays are easily reached as a daytrip from Canouan and should not be missed if you are in the area.

enewseven-We were just in the tobago cays on friday. We went on an all day catamaran trip out of Union Island , we were staying in Barbados. We only saw Canouan at a distance. The tobago cays and St Vincent and the Grenadines and not too be missed. Incredible snorkling and beautiful small islands everywhere. You should check with Raffels, but I would be very suprised if they couldn't hook you up with a day trip. The golf course does look pretty nice.

Hi beerman. We are headed to Mustique at the end of the year. Did you stop there? Where did you stay in Barbados? Did you look at any of the properties such as Colony Club or Turtle Beach (we plan to stay in Barbados a day before and a day after our trip to Mustique.) How did you get to Union Islannd? Thaanks for any feedback on the area!
