Asolo Italy

My wife, friends and I just returned from a 13 day trip to Italy using Luxurylink for all three hotels. Of the three, there was unanamous agreement that Albergo Al Sole in Asolo was the best and most enjoyable. The large rooms were in the front of the hotel looking over the town and the valley below. The staff including the owners were very helpful in suggesting itineraries for local sites and the cooking demonstration was perfect. Chef Davido patiently explained his craft to two excellent cooks (our wives), while Joe and I got alot of tips while enjoying Italian wines. There are alot of great areas to visit around Asolo and five days isn't enough to see it all. I most highly recommend this propertyand location.

Exactly what was there to see in this area? My husband and I are going to Italy in April and I wanted to check out the Asolo hotel deal (it is gone now), glad you enjoyed it but was there enough to occupy 3 days worth? How was the driving? Can't decide whether it is worth a LL deal there, if it comes back. Did you go to /verona? Wish they had more offer in that area. Any input is appreciated. Thank you.

If you don't mind saying, what were the other two locations?

We stayed at the Albergo Al Sole in Asolo two summers ago and I can highly recommend the region. The Veneto is a wonderful area and Asolo is the sort of place that attracts wealthy Italians coming for the weekend. If you go we highly recommend drinks in the garden at the Cipriani down the hill.

The surrounding area including Vicenza is particularly interesting for fans of architecture as there are a large number of Palladio's villas and civic buildings that you can visit. We really enjoyed motoring through the countryside going from one villa to the next.
