FRENCH RIVIERA & VITAMIN C
In 1929, when the the City of Menton on the French Riviera was Europe's leading supplier of lemons, a fascinating and unique tradition was begun. Today, the lemon harvest has morphed into a month-long , citrus-scented celebration.

It's now one of the fabled Cote d'Azur's most popular annual events. The Bioves Gardens come alive with the scent and spirit of citrus, including "Son et Lumiere", the French sound and light spectacular. Visit website www.feteducitron.comfor all the details on the events between February 17 and March 7.

Hi Curt,
La fete du citron is quite a spectacle to behold. We were there a few years ago during this carnaval like feast. All the floats in the parade were decorated with lemons (and oranges) and there was lemon pie, lemon drops, etc. Since its initial celebration in 1929 in Menton, the fete du citron now extends as far west as Nice.
