Paros and Naxos Greece

Anyone visit Paros or Naxos? We see some great properties listed for 2013. Any insight or opinions would be appreciated.

I heard some great comments thru a review of the Naxian Collection. The innkeeper, Ioannis Margaritis, is apparently one of the most respected people on Naxos. I had prompt replies from him when I considered that villa last year. I see they aren't on LL right now, but they offered me some great rates. Some of the new Ll pkgs look tempting, too! Good luck choosing.

Hi K and thanks. I also looked at that property for May but it didn't work out. I am now looking at Naxos for June 2013. There is another LL property offered there. I haven't been to Naxos and wondered about it. I was hoping for a smaller, quiet place. Thanks K.

I am also looking at Naxos - the property up now looks very nice. I am looking at it for September 2013 along with a few other places I listed on a separate thread on LL.

Great D.....what other parts of Greece are you considering? I am enjoying the planning. I think we will add Paros or Santorini....

Just checking around LL for a 5 night package for Fall 2013 and the ones in Greece are on my list, however, the Greek islands seem to be a bit of a hassle to fly to from the states - I think I would have to fly to Athens and then get a local flight - still investigating, if this is the case then it would not be worth it to go for just 5 nights. I am discovering that if you are not going to a major European country or city, then flying from the states is a pain.

Santorini, Mykonos, Naxos all have good packages!

Direct flights from Philly to Athens on USAir then Olympic to Paros. From Paros, you can ferry to Naxos. Santorini is close by ferry also.
