My name is Lourdes Carbo. I was born in Barcelona, I'm living in between Madrid and Barcelona, and manage a luxury PA and lifestyle agency in the city.
I would just like to offer my assitance, on-line, with all you may need before arriving in Barcelona. If you are planning to visit our beautiful city, it would be my pleasure to answer your questions our doubts.
Best regards, Lou

March is a good month for visit Spain... winter time will be finishing and welcome spring time!
Best than Madrid and Barcelona, March is the perfect time for visiting the southern of Spain: Andalucia. This is a region with beautiful places to visit and celebrate its Holy Week. Singular expressions of catholic religion which you wouldn't see at any other place worldwide. Cities like Sevilla, Crdoba, Granada are prepared with exceptional Palaces-Hotels and incredible gastronomy!
Barcelona is not the place to see a performance of Flamenco. We have no Flamenco-Culture in the city. If you are in Madrid or Barcelona, I'd suggest you then to visit any "Tablao" like a Flamenco-Club but very touristically focused and /or a performance of the flamenco-dancer Rafael Amargo or Sara Baras at the Theatre.
Hoping it help your choice, and wishing you a good time. Lou

Hi Debbie,
Congratulations on your 40th wedding anniversary!!!
You will find romantic places in either Madrid and Barcelona. Both cities have historical sites, culture-art offer, museums (Museo del Prado-Mad, a classical and other Contemporanean Museums as MACBA-Bcn...), gastronomy, music festivals, good leisure...
At the same time...such a different cities!!! Meanwhile Madrid is big, elegant and if you're visiting Spain the 1st time, it is a must, Barcelona isquite cosmopolitan, open-mind city. One of my favourite hotels in BCN is HotelNeri more find out more info at http://sololouxury.tumblr.com Both cities have qualified hotels and residences where to stay.
I'd like to recommend you a private itinerary according with your preferences b/c both cities have an old town
Depending on the month you'll come, Barcelona and Girona (1hour city from Barcelona) has a beautiful coast called Costa Brava, where you can stay at Cadaqus, Begur, or other incredible towns.
and, why not? I'd suggest a private dinner inside a Castle, exclusively for you and your husband to celebrate your day.
Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any help with itineraries or other 24-hour agendas Vivre La Grup.
All the best, Lou
