Volcanic Ash

Ok...so we are sitting on pins and needles about our flights to Sweden. Looks like flight delays and cancellations in Europe this week. I have friends in Europe being delayed...YIKES!!

Don't worry, the Volcanic Ash has cleared and flights in Northern Europe are running on schedule again.

It seems that the volcanic ash is the least problem to worry about for your upcoming trip. Please read my post on EHCE warnining.
An outbreak of Enterohemorrhagic E. Coli, also known as resistant E.Coli bacteria, is spreading in Germany and Europe. New cases have been found in Stockholm.
Please be careful eating salads, cucumbers and tomatoes on your trip.

No worries LL...Trip turned out perfect. Great connections, no volcanic ash, and no e.coli! We did have a "security breach" in Copenhagen. This closed EVERYTHING at the airport; no arrivals, no departures, and no internal airport movement. Seems someone didn't go through security and was caught on camera. Closed the airport and flights. Fortunately, they cleared the security issue in about 1 hour. (of course, all the flights were messed up!) The new VOLVO is beautiful. Great opportunity to do this Overseas Delivery program.

Glad to know you are safely back home, bonniejoy, and had a great trip. I'll bet you are anxiously awaiting the arrival of your new VOLVO. We did a VW Jetta Overseas Delivery back in the early 90ies. Would do this program again in a minute, but VW cancelled the program. I guess it got too expensive to run with the euro being so hight. I guess Sweden is still using the Kone, might be a better rate of exchange there.

Exchange is still bad with the Swedish Kroner. Prices are very high. But...it was like that 25 years ago also. Great getaway and the car should be here within a month!
