I remember my 1st LL trip like it was yesterday - 6 years ago - is anyone still on here from 15 years ago?

My first LL trip was in 2002 - part of a 2 week trip in Italy where my SIL and I stayed at a LL hotel in Venice, a package that included breakfast every day, one dinner and a gondola ride. Besides Venice, we visited Lake Como, Florence, Tuscany and Cinque Terre on that trip.

I'll never forget how nervous I was checking into that Venice hotel.....what if they claimed they had no knowledge of our LL package or reservation! Of course everything worked smoothly and it was a lovely hotel. It was in a residential part of Venice and they had their own free private water taxi. It was great to experience a "neighborhood" of Venice in addition to all the tourist spots. We had a junior suite, quite large and the service was fabulous. The hotel? Boscolo Venezia. It has't been offered for a while; maybe the Boscolo chain of hotels could be brought back into the LL fold.
