The 2010 Sister Trip is.....Lima, Peru!! (Sans sister; + Mister)

Hey, community! I'm looking for info re Lima Peru mid June. We're staying sea level due to breathing issues (breathing is important to both of us!!). We're getting the Miraflores Hotel pkg--already dreaming of the massage...their restaurant has quite the rep and view to match!
I just ordered a guidebook and have a contact w/ a local sommelier in the city thru another website.
Any must-sees to recommend? Side trips? We're not museum driven--love culture, food!! Hotel ideas for 2+ more nights. We're on pass travel, so we're flexible.

kyshel, you never posted any comments on your Lima visit.

Why are you so concerned about altitude, Kyshel? Breathing is vastly overrated.

The Miraflores is great! Restaurant is great, staff is great -wonderful view of ocean and beach - lots of great shoping and restaruants all around. Most good side trips will involve travel - Cusco, Puerto Maldonado (great for Amazon - great lodges - we added the Sandoval Lodge on to our package and OE helped us plan the whole thing - local airfare is not that bad.

MiraPark hotel is excellent. yes, our suite view is awesome and we have late check out today. Hoping to take one more sauna before we go--our bath includes a huge rainshower, a curved full bath tub and the sauna, as well.
Jsat--as soon as I do the laundry, eat home food and sent Boss on a trip, I'll get to details and review further.

Have a great flight back. Did you eat any cau cau de mariscos? It's my favorite Peruvian dish.
