I had a disc in my neck replaced with a titanium plate a few years ago and I always get teased that if I get hit the wrong way that my head will fall off. Never had a problem going through airport security - I don't think titanium rings as many bells as other metal replacement parts.
I always thought it would be fun if you could go into a store like Pep Boys and just pick up body replacement parts - I can see this way off in the distant future!
Everyone have fun on all your trips to distant lands!Roam if you want to, roam around the world...........

Central and South America continue to call, just hope Luxury Link can nail down some more properties in Chile for 2013.
Hacienda & Ecolodge Morgan's Rockhttp://www.luxurylink.com/fivestar/lodges/playa-ocotal-nicaragua/hacienda-and-ecolodge-morgans-rock is locked in for the end of April (Managua, Nicaragua is a short flight from MIA), and the Luxury Link Holiday promotion, when it was first announced, was such a great price!- Ω -

Well, I'm ending the year with a bang! Off to Narita (Tokyo airport) for 24 hours , then Boss is taking me to Beijing for 60 hours. We have a date with a guide to visit the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall:

I have been convinced that I MUST do this..

We fly back via Seattle and whatever connection we can get. What a gift--and we'll be home for Christmas! Happy Holidays!"wherever you go, there you are"

Fortunately, I went to Seattle last week with Boss, to get my body screwed up in advance (at least 3 hours). I have the first 24 hrs in Narita--not alot in the little town where the hotel is. We arrive PEK around 10pm, hang around in the room until we're tired and sleep for a few hours. Pretty much the same with our Europe trips. His body clock is already whacked out (he only sleeps 4-5 hours at a time anyway) I get to sleep on my flights (he gets 3 hours break typically but never really sleeps--just 3Rs--relax rest read) Our full tour day is not until the second one, and if we feel like going for a short one the last day, we will. Then we sleep in and go to airport late morning for noon flight.
I think the luge ride will jolt me out of jetlag!!"wherever you go, there you are"
