Where are you from Wendy? If it is possible to get to Dubai thenI would suggest staying at the only 7-star hotel in the world- the Burj Al Arab then on to the AL Maha Desert Resort and Spa- a very unique luxury resort in the desert which will ensure you are both treated like Royalty. This resort is unlike any other resort you would be likely to see.Check out their website for more info or as I have had the good fortune of staying there, if you want more info then just let me know. Good luck and enjoy looking for that special place for your special occasion. Cheers.

First, congrats on 25 years.
Second, it would probably help people give better suggestions if you tell us about some past trips you enjoyed. Do you both enjoy the outdoors, exotic foods, water activities, far away cultures, etc ...

What a special trip! Planning an important trip is almost as much fun (almost) as taking it. After you two figure out the type of trip you want such as a cruise, level of activity, area of the world, level of luxury...whatever...look at the LL auctions and discover if a LL trip fits your desires. You'll find the LL auctions usually include great food for a romantic dinner and spa treatments. Your romantic get-away could be packaged and waiting for you on LL. Cheers...Marolyn

Re: 25th Anniversary Trip
Hello Wendy,
Congratulations on the 25 years!
If you enjoy great food and wine, spectacular scenery, and a wide range of things to see and do -- all in addition to amazing value for money -- you may want to consider Cape Town in South Africa. May is an ideal time to visit Cape Town, with warm, clear sunny days and cool crisp nights for curling up next to a crackling fire.
The city itself is full of luxurious boutique hotels, including some great LL options (the Twelve Apostles and the Nellie (Mount Nelson) and has cultural and historical sights as well as the natural beauty of Table Mountain and Cape Point. There are beaches where you can see penguins as well as beaches where you can relax, and if you're lucky you can even see whales from your hotel room (June is the ideal time for whales).
The Cape Winelands will be ablaze with colour (the season are reversed in SA so it will be autumn), and a few nights in a cosy country inn enjoying some of the best restaurants in the world would be a great way to celebrate your anniversary. One of the best properties in the Winelands, Le Quartier Francais, sometimes lists some very good value packages on LL.
You could either spend the entire week in the Cape, or spend 3-4 days on safari. CCAfrica is one of the best safari companies in Africa, and they occasionally offer packages to their lodges. I've travelled on safari with CCA a number of times and their lodges are first-rate.
Cheers,
Julian

You might want to look up another thread that I posted more than a month ago: "Great place for a marriage proposal". Many, many thoughtful people recommended sites for commemorating a special evert. Whether beginning a marriage or celebrating 25 years, LL sites and community members have great ideas. Cheers...Marolyn

25th anniversary trip
WOW Great news - Happy Anniversary!!! We are half way there, you are a good example! try LL Carribean destinations. Make sure to look in LL community under Carribean or Europe etc section There are wonderful locations and information detailed there to help you narrow your search - then go to auctions or buy now and you're on you're way! We will be spending our 12th anniversary at an LL property in the British Virgin Islands and a special birthday -one with a zero- at 2 LL properties in Tuscany and Umbria - Can't wait!!! Aren't the birthdays or anniversarys with a zero or 5 at the end enough to make you realize what is important - time is short - HAVE FUN!!! ...Congratulations again ...Funtimes

Assuming you are in the U.S. (?) I would suggest any of these. A week- long charter of a crewed yacht in the British Virgin Islands or the Grenadines. TheBVI is easier to get to. The captain/cook/crew would give you a highly personal anniversary trip, and the waters--particularly the BVI--are spectacular. Good seasonally, as weather is dependable, but not yet torrid. The Caribbean islands themselves have, more or less, become homogenized so that finding attractive singularities is ever more difficult.Still, here are a couple of thoughts. Viecques, off of Puerto Rico, still has charm. Small, very informal places, simple pleasures--like horseback riding on the beach-- though not in the least luxurious. How about Martinique or Guadeloupe? Still very French, good food (of course) and many of the attributes of France itself, with palm tress and sun. Not like St. Barts--that is, not haunted by rail-thin models seeking zillionaires. (That's really only true at the height of the season, but I think St. Barts is ruined.)
I hope this helps.
