I also think they will go back to the search sites. It just does not make sense to not have your product in front of as many people as possible.

I don't know how this will get resolved, but last night I was checking air fares on AA.com, and American is offering double miles for booking directly on their site.

Sabre and American Airlines have agreed to put the litigation between the companies on hold until 1 June 2011. The companies are working on a new agreement.

Looks like American got everything patched up with Orbitz & Expedia.....they are now back together like one big happy family!

So, if American and Orbitz and Expedia have all settled their issues, what does it really mean to me or anyone else that is interested in using American?

I think it probably is a good thing. The fact is that it is just easier to use a search engine like Orbitz or Expedia to compare prices. I think American will have to keep their prices comparable. I know I used to use Southwest, but once their prices became as much or higher than the airlines I saw on Orbitz, I switched. It really does boil down to price.

Speaking of Orbitz, a word of warning--if you buy something bundled into your flight, say a SuperShuttle ride to and from the airport, READ THE FINE PRINT! You HAVE to have the confirmation printed out to hand to the shuttle driver. Having just the confirmation number or even pulling the confirmation up on your iPad won't work! Just wanted to pass that along, because I sure didn't have a clue!

They better get some e discovery services for such issue to be solved. It has something to do with some litigation topics so they better consult experts on that.
