Re: ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR GUANAJUATO, SAN MIGUEL OR QUERETARO
San Miguel has a lot of ex-pats and is more suited for tourists than Guanajuato. Guanajuato is also much bigger than San Miguel. My advice is to google the two cities or pick up a copy of Fodor's or any other reliable travel book and read about them so you can make an informed decision about where you want to go. It's too bad that you have only one night since there are a lot of great places to go in the area.

Re: ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR GUANAJUATO, SAN MIGUEL OR QUERETARO
Well, I'm finally leaving for Guanajuato, San Miguel de Allende and Queretaro on Wednesday. Thanks much for the travel tips, summersky10. I'm definitely going to write about my trip on my Travel Blog after my return. Anyone else have any last minute suggestions for restaurants, museums, other sights to see? Muchas gracias amigos.

aside form the expected detailed review, I'll be interested in the logistics of coming/going. Have a great time and stay safe!

Re: ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR GUANAJUATO, SAN MIGUEL OR QUERETARO
Jan, thanks again for all of the recommendations. We ate at Mexico Lindo y Sabroso last night and it was very good. As you told me, its just down the street from Quinta las Acasias. Good food, good service, friendly staff. Went to the center of town today and ate gorditas at the mercado. Excellent! It started pouring while we were at the mercado, so we took a taxi back and just relaxed at the hotel. We are taking a tour tomorrow, which includes the mummy museum, various churches, funicular, etc. I will tell Steve that you and your husband said hello when we get to San Miguel. Hasta luego.
