Thanks for clarifying. I knew it was too good to be true ;). That would have been pretty nice though.. Btw I just cashed in all my US air miles that I have been saving for the past decade for a trip for 2 to Thailand/Bali in the fall in a mix of First and Biz. I'm pretty exited about it because I've never even been in business on an intercontinental flight before.. So in this case I need to vote for star alliance but more specifically US air because the tickets from Europe to SE Asia were only 110k miles in first. That's a bargain compared to most airlines I can think of. I think it is 140 or 150k using united miles. Fees came to around $125 per ticket. Pretty good. Last time used miles on delta/KLM for a ticket between AMS MIA. It was over $400 and one way was in coach. Ouch.

I was just searching for some international award seats this past weekend and it's not getting any easier. Summer and early fall are a real challenge. Guess airlines are also cutting back on the number of flights they are operating.
